Dustjacket in very good condition, ½" closed tear at bottom front edge, and a crease line at sides of spine (see picture). xvii, 156pp. With drawings by Robert Doyle on every page of the journal. Doyle wrote the journal when he was 15 years of age in 1840. He was an illustrator for Punch and provided some of the illustrations for Dickens' Christmas Books.
