On front free endpaper its stamped "Marlborough College Library. Reading Room" and also written in ink "Sold to Brynton 1986." Spine sides and edges are rubbed also spine ends (see picture). Webbing is showing a little at hinge inside front board, but the book is still tight, no looseness. Some of the pages have foxing, otherwise the pages are very clean and bright, most of the full-page illustrations also have foxing. Two labels pasted on the inside front board are pasted one over the other. A really good tight copy. viii, 491pp, including Subscriber's List, Index of Places and General Index. With 60 pages of drawings on wood, some pages have two drawings on them , plus numerous drawings on wood in the text.
