Some of the pages are rough-cut at front and bottom edges. Webbing is showing at hinge between pages 80 and 81, but there is no looseness. At the front edge some of the rough-cut pages are browned just along the edge, and some have nicks along the front edge. Foxing on the endpapers, and some of the pages have a little foxing. Neat annotations in ink by front edge on a few of the pages. Pasted inside front board are two bookseller's label. Front free endpaper has a small piece of browned newspaper cutting pasted. Family trees in ink and pencil on either side of the Index title-page. On back of last index page dates and names written in ink, opposite is a pasted page of the same. On one of the publisher's books page is pasted a piece of paper again with date and information written in ink. On back endpapers written information in ink. Previous owner's name on half-title page and on back of this page are dates and names in ink. A good tight book. Plus a small booklet "John Amphlett of Clent. An Appreciation by John Humphreys.
