Hardback. 4to (28cm by 22cm), 72pp, 2pp adverts. 35 engraved plates, one vignette. Original brown cloth, elaborate gilt titling and decoration to the boards and the spine, all edges gilt. The binding is worn but functional (lacks 2 inches of cloth fron the foot of the spine); the contents are generally in good condition (fraying to the margins of the frontispiece, plates lightly foxed).
