Illustrated throughout, folding charts/plans etc. Bound in original publishers blue cloth, gilt lettering, gilt crest on top board of each volume, top gilt edge. Cloth on first 3 volumes has heavy staining/marking, at some time covers have been damp, volume 4 in better condition. Internally, no loose pages, some browning to endpapers, probably due to bindings being damp at some time, otherwise pages/illustrations in good clean condition throughout.
