First edition, very good condition, no dustjacket, publisher's original maroon clothboards with gilt blocking to front and spine, 464 pages including index, b/w photo and line illustrations - a clean, tight copy with bumps and light wear at the head and the tail of spine which is lightly faded spine but gilt-stamped title clearly visible. Bright, gilt-stamped cover title, front and rear fly leaves are tanned, black/ white photo illustrations, colour fold-out map of Sarawak showing the main divisions of population and the locations of the minor tribes. There is a preface by C.
