(7½ x 5), poor condition, no dust-jacket, publisher's original blue clothboards with illustrated black and gilt blocking to front and spine, boards lightly worn and colours faded (blue and gilt still bright), 156pages plus 30+ pages of adverts., from title page to page 17, and 65 - 80, are loose but all pages are present, early pages are browned, b/w photo illustrations, b/w map-----------------The author spent many years as a missionary in central Africa before deciding it would be better for Africans to come to North Wales to be trained as missionaries. The scheme seems to have collapsed due to a lack of cooperation by the Belgian authorities who did not want any educated Africans in the Congo. (Book ref. 2227)  £38.00
