With 2pp. publisher's catalogue bound in at end, and the trade ticket of HM Gilbert of Southampton on front paste-down. The endpaper maps are taken from the Wessex Edition. This is the first collected edition of Hardy's four collections of short stories: 'Wessex Tales', 'Life's Little Ironies', 'A Group of Noble Dames' and 'A Changed Man and other Tales'.
