16 pp. 22.5 x 14.5 cms Paper covers, a little edge wear. Guthrie was an Irish lawyer whose wife was seduced by Sterne with whom she eloped. This eloquent speech reduced the jury to tears and damages of £5000 were awarded to the Plaintiff. A nice if fragile Bristol printing of a famous Dublin judgement. (Book ref. 5433)  £45.00
