First edition (?) xix + 728 + 14 (of 18) pp. 17 x 11 cm. The title page is missing, as are pages 99 to 112, and pages 159-160, along with the final four pages of the index. In gathering Aa2 the even pagination has not been printed, and there is no indication that pages 99 to 112 and pages 159-160 were ever present. The initial nineteen pages is an address "To the Christian Reader", dated "Grayes Inne, July. 1. 1635". The book is in a modern cloth binding, black, blocked gold. The print block is in good condition, although in two places a needle or pin used as a book mark has left rust in a few margins. Robert Sibbes, 1577 - 1635, was an influential Puritan Divine.
