IRVINE WILLIAM FERGUSSON A SHORT HISTORY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF RIVINGTON , EDINBURGH: BALLANTYNE PRESS, 1904.
1st. Cloth. VG-. 4to Produced to commemorate the opening of Lever Park at Rivington (Lancashire) by Lord Leverhulme, who lived there some of the time. The title is a little misleading as the book is 211pp and a fairly detailed history of the Village and its Church and Grammer School. Beautifully produced on laid paper, t.e.g., the rest uncut, wide margins, full plate photographs and fold out map. Original cloth boards with leather title panel to spine - the cloth is lifting in places and some wear to edges. Contents VG, just a little marking to extreme edges.. Very scarce (Book ref. 000538) £100.00
