A description of their physical appearance, dress as well as weapons and tools precedes details of their social organization. Not only does the book include chapters on the physical aspects of their life, agriculture, hunting, crafts, trade, head-hunting, but also their beliefs, customs and folklore. Their legal system, including the differences between the various tribes, is also described in depth.
