Boxwood & Graver A Miscellany of Blocks , Kent Westerham Press Westerham 1958Privately Printed Christmas 1958. 1500 copies were printed. Penguin. The paper is Hosho-Shi from Berrick Brothers. Monotype Van Dijck was used for the text and it was bound at the Dorstel Press, Harlow, Essex. The Foreword is by Allen Lane in which he says "During the past ten years many of the books published as Penguins have been decorated, on the covers and in the text, with wood engravings by distinguished living artists. Because of the very large editions we have never been able to print these from the original wood blocks, nor has it always been possible to do full justice to the charm of these delicate creations on cheap board and paper we have to use. With the intention of showing them at their best we print on the following pages a selection..."
