Small 4to. Cream cloth (as usual with some slight discolouration), but a good copy, contained in an original slipcase which has some slight wear to extremities and lacks label. Contents fine and bright. Contains 7 full page colour illustrations plus 3 others including one on the title page and a tailpiece by E. McKnight Kauffer stencelled at the Curwen Press using the pochoir method. He used watercolour or gouache for these illustrations and the results are amazingly bright and fresh. The illustrations are striking and represent the high point of book illustration by McKnight Kauffer. 750 copies printed this is number 252. (Book ref. 243)  £140.00
