PEGGE (Samuel): Anonymiana; or, Ten Centuries of Observations on Various Authors and Subjects, compiled by a late very learned and reverend divine; and faithfully published from the original ms, with the addition of a copious index. , London: Printed by and for John Nichols and Son, 1809;

1st ed., pp. viii, 527 + 1 advs. Full brown calf, somewhat rubbed, with loss of about 1.5 cm at head of spine. Front hinge tender (closed slit about 7.5 cm upwards from lower edge). A curious compendium of musings mainly on historical, biographical, linguistic and literary topics. It appears to lack a leaf preceding the title-page, but is otherwise a good, internally sound copy. NSTC lists copies only at the British Library and the Bodleian. (Book ref. 2240)  £60.00
