pp. xxviii, 384; xiv, 428; xiii, 382; xi, 368. Engr. portrait frontis in each vol. Orig. dk green blind stamped cloth w. gilt title on spines. An exceptionally bright set, the green unfaded. According to the preface, 'it has been resolved that these celebrated Dialogues shall take the lead in this edition of his collected works.' There is no sign that this is part of a collected edition, but it appears to be a new issue of the first four volumes of the 12-volume works edited by Professor J.F. Ferrier, 1855-1858. This 1868 edition does not appear to be listed in NSTC. (Book ref. 2879)  £48.00
