Good/No Jacket. 4to - over 8¾" - 12" Tall Signed by Author This is a Good Copy of this Book in green cloth rebacked with original spine preserved,new endpapers.There are 3 full page plates one of which features Lord's Cricket Gound plus numerouds smaller illustrations of batsmen,field settings etc.This copy has been inscribed by the Author on the fly leaf and reads '' H Coxon Esq Notts A Present from Mr Charles Box 1880 '' and given to Dr G.O. Gauld by harry Copxon in 1919 (Coxon was a journalist and Notts CCC scorer.The outer boards are showing some wear mostly to rear cover,all page edges are in gilt,with gilt titles to the front and uppere cover plus further gilt vignette of stumps plus bats displsyed to the upper cover.Scarce and early Cricket title,4to 496pp with bevelled edges First Edition (Book ref. 55982)  £295.00
