Written in the aftermath of the Warrington small-pox outbreak of 1892-93 and examining the comparative lack of severity of that outbreak, due to vaccination, against the 1773 small-pox epidemic in the same town prior to the discovery of vaccination. Copies of this work are held by Britain's major libraries but seldom appear for sale in the public domain. An exceedingly scarce local history item for Warrington and Lancashire.
