Illustrated by Cecil Aldin. 1st Edition. 12" x 9.5" A series of 20 colour plates of Cracker (Bull Terrier) and Micky (Irish Wolfhound) in a sequence of poses. No text is necessary as the illustrations tell their own story. Cracker and Micky were Cecil Aldin's own dogs. This is one of the extremely scarce 1st Editions that were issued with a parchment cover (Reference - "Cecil Aldin, The Story Of A Sporting Artist" by Roy Heron). Inevitably the white parchment cover is soiled and worn and externally the spine is weak and very fragile. Internally the plates are immaculate. (Book ref. 000240)  £300.00
