Bookplate of the author, George Somes Layard, on front pastedown; two south west London addresses (one crossed out) written on front wrapper, probably in the author's hand. Illustrations by Lewis Baumer. Colour illustration tipped on to verso of front endpaper, with a note in pencil (by the author?): "This illustration only appeared in the special edition of the story in Pearson's Magazine", so presumably the picture was taken from that issue.; 8vo (6 1/2" x 8"); 124 pages (Book ref. 16505) £220.00
