Verlag von K. Suder / Druck von Heise & Co The Rhin [sic], Guide-Panorama from Mentz to Cologne, with descriptions of the most interesting towns, villages etc. immidiate [sic] at the in relievs [sic] marked places. , Mainz and Coln: Verlag von K. Suder / Druck von Heise & Co, 1890.paperback. Very Good-. Fold-out colour map of the Rhine, from Mentz (Mainz?) to Cologne, in dk brown card wrappers. Wrappers rather frail, but map itself in good shape, with bright colours. Each town or stopping place is illustrated, with accompanying English text. The map is undated, but is probably late 19th Century as the text refers to "Emperor Wilhelm II". The title above is part of the description on the front wrapper. The balance of the text is, "The black numbers correspond with those of the kilometre-stones along the river, they make it possible at any moment to find one's latitude." The text on the map itself could also have benefited from the services of a qualified translator, I'm afraid. ; 4 1/2" x 10" (Book ref. 17275) £40.00 The payment methods accepted by the seller, Walden Books , are shown in the right-hand column. |
