Goldsmith, Oliver The Vicar of Wakefield: a tale. Supposed to be written by himself. 2 vols. , London: F. Newberry, 1766.

B000XEH0LK Third Edition. Hardback. Very Good. Both vols: Brown leather boards; a little scuffed and marked; slight damage to front upper edge of vol. I, with small losses, but relatively light wear to both vols, given their age. Raised bands on spine; binding tight. Gilt bands on boards + spines, bright. Gilt titling on red panels at head of each spine, bright. Faint spotting throughout both vols. Small wormholes at the base of each spine: vol I has no further penetration; slight worm damage to lower corners of first few pp of vol II. App 1 1/2" x 1" rectangle cut out of top corner of vol I f.e.p. Owner's names on f.e.p. of each vol. In spite of these minor faults, this is a very nice set, from the novel's year of publication; Newberry was the original publisher. ; 8vo (4" x 7"); 214+223 pages (Book ref. 17416)  £400.00
