Hardback. Very Good-. All Vols: Brown leather boards; worn smooth; corners a little worn; raised bands on spine. Front external joint of vol I slightly cracked, but binding tight on all vols. Gilt titling on vols I + II still quite bright. Bookplate on each front pastedown; separate owner's name on each f.e.p. Pages are remarkably clean and supple, given their age. The title pages of vols I+II merely state "Persian Letters", whereas vol III gives "Letters from a Persian in England to his Friend at Ispahan". Vols. I + II are the second edition, published by J.
