The Chronicle' Pantomime Annual 1905-6 contains "Portraits of Principals at the Theatre Royal, Manchester; Prince's Theatre, Manchester; Gaiety Theatre, Manchester; Palace Theatre, Manchester; Hippodrome, Manchester; Broadhead's Theatres, Manchester; Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool; Shakespeare Theatre, Liverpool; Grand Theatre, Leeds; Theatre Royal, Leeds; Theatre Royal, Bradford; and Prince's Theatre, Bradford". This annual ran from about 1905 to 1932, in later years extending its geographical coverage to theatres elsewhere in the country. In short, this slim work - almost certainly one of the very few copies in existence of the first year of issue - is a virtually irreplaceable and hitherto unrecorded piece of British pantomime history.
