Hardcover. Very Good. 387 + 339 + 423 pages. All three volumes have the bookplate of a previous owner on the front end paper & the owner has also written in pencil the publisher's name & address plus the years covered by each volume on the endpapers. The books are all tightly bound and in VG clean and sound condition. No tears or loss. They have been gently used but there is some evidence that a previous owner has marked some passages in pencil which have been later erased but just faintly visible. The books are covered with loose fitting clear sellophane jackets which are torn and have some loss. Volume 1 covers the period up to 1400, Volume II 1400-1600 & Volume III 1600-1700 (Book ref. 021901 ) £ 95.00
