The 335 pages remain in fresh, clean condition and are tightly bound. Blue cloth binding is bright with no fading and gilt title lettering is sharp and legible. Discreet ownership inscription to front free endpaper. Top edge dyed blue as published. Housed in the distinctive royal blue dustwrapper designed by Biro with publishers printed price intact on front inside flap. Small chips to head and tail of spine with two closed, hairline tears otherwise the dustwrapper is in very good condition. Protected in a removable archival booksleeve to preserve its condition. The first impression of the first edition of this famous Evelyn Waugh title. Photographs of the book and the dustwrapper are available on request.
