Lennon, John In His Own Write , London: Jonathan Cape, 1964.

Illustrated by John Lennon. First Edition. Very Good. FIRST EDITION Bound in the publishers laminated hardboards with no dustwraper as published. The 78 pages remain in excellent condition with one previous owners name in very small discreet writing to the top of the front free endpaper. Otherwise all pages are present and correct and are tightly bound. Very light surface cracking to the laminate at the groove of the spine on both boards, a commonplace fault with this delightful John Lennon iconic title. Minor overall wear and signs of handling. A very good example of a very pleasant little book. This is the first impression of the first edition. There is something reminiscent of the mad and wacky sense of humour of Edward Gorey about this John Lennon title. Famous iconic photograph by Robert Freeman of John Lennon wearing a cap typical of the era to the front board. A very good and collectable first edition copy of John Lennon's doodlings and writings. Photographs of the book are available on request. Scarce to encounter surviving in this condition. (Book ref. 000666 )  £ 120.00
