First Edition. Near Fine/Very Good. FIRST EDITION Bound in the publishers green cloth binding with gilt title lettering to spine. This is the first American edition of The Hill of Devi and a book which was to be rich preparation for Forster's masterpiece: A Passage to India. All pages are present and correct with no inscriptions and are tightly bound. Book sits solid and square with all corners sharp. Double matching photographic endpapers to front and rear of book. A very crisp copy inside and out. Housed in the distinctive dustwrapper with publishers printed price intact on front inside flap. Slight chipping to head of spine and top edge with light signs of overall handling otherwise a very presentable example of the dustwrapper in very good condition. Protected in a removable archival booksleeve to preserve its condition. Photographs of the book and the dustwrapper are available at your request. Another interesting book that further explores E.M.
