Wodehouse, P.G. LEAVE IT TO PSMITH , London, United Kingdom: Herbert Jenkins.

Very Good/Good +. 12mo - over 6" - 7" tall Ninth Printing Bound in the publishers red cloth hard boards with contrasting bold black title lettering to spine and front board. This is the ninth printing completing 73,400 copies and this is duly stated on the verso of the title page. All pages are present and correct. Previous owners name to the front free endpaper remains discreet. Book sits solid and square and the red cloth binding remains fresh and clean. Foxing to the prelims otherwise a very presentable copy indeed. Housed in the colouful vintage Wodehouse era dustwrapper. Average wear and signs of overall handling mainly to the head and heel of spine but a lovely example nontheless of a dustwrapper which is, to say the least, elusive surviving in any condition. The front panel displays a rather downbeat Freddie Threepwood whos gloved hand holds a pistol and from whos mouth a rather languid smoking cigarette dangles ! All this played under the light of a rather concerned Eve's dripping candle. Love, spats and tophats abound ! Dustwrapper protected in a removable archival booksleeve to preserve its condition. Photographs of the book and the dustwrapper are available on request. A very presentable early printing of this classic Wodehouse title. (Book ref. 000962 )  £ 79.50
