Near Fine/Very Good. 12mo - over 6" - 7" tall 2nd Impression Bound in the publishers bright red boards with contrasting black title lettering to spine and front board. This is the second impression published just six months after the first. This is duly stated on the verso of the title page, second impression....March 1950. This classic Enid Blyton childrens book having been first published in November 1949. Book sits solid and square with all corners sharp. All pages are present and correct with no inscriptions. Profusely illustrated throughout with two tone and black and white drawings by the inimitable Eileen Soper. Double matching endpapers to front and rear of book. A lovely, clean copy inside and out. Housed in the atmospheric dustwrapper with publishers printed price intact on front inside flap. Light wear and overall signs of handling otherwise an excellent example of the classic dustwrapper.
