The Rare Book Shelf

Wodehouse, P.G. Jeeves and the Feudal Spirit , London, United Kingdom: Herbert Jenkins, 1954.

First Edition. Very Good/Good -. 12mo - over 6" - 7" tall FIRST EDITION Bound in the publishers red cloth hard boards with black title lettering to spine. Book sits solid and square with all corners sharp. All pages are present and correct. There are no inscriptions present. Black title lettering remains sharp and definite. A Very Good, clean copy. Housed in the typically hilarious and scarce dustwrapper with publishers printed price intact on front inside flap. A sizeable chip to the leading edge of front panel and partial loss to the rear panel. Not a robust duswrapper by nature due to poor quality paper used in production. Still manages to maintain a decent shelf appearance. Bertie Wooster looks perplexingly into his handmirror with his equally perplexing reflection staring worryingly back, monocle steadily affixed of course ! The dry and laconic Jeeves looks aloofingly on ready to add his engaging quips at every given moment ! Ah ! Where would we be without P.G. ! Protected in a removable archival booksleeve to preserve its condition. Photographs available on request. A nice enough first edition copy of a rather uncommon Wodehouse title particularly in the surviving dustwrapper.. (Book ref. 001021 )  £ 129.00
