Chopping, Richard The Ring , London, United Kingdom: Secker and Warburg, 1967.

Illustrated by Richard Chopping. First Edition. Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7" - 9" tall FIRST EDITION Bound in the publishers red hardboards this is the first printing of this frank and candid Richard Chopping novel set in 1960s London. All pages are present and correct with no inscriptions. Book sits solid and square with all corners sharp. A very tidy copy indeed. Housed in the superb dustwrapper designed by the author, Richard Chopping, who was later to achieve worldwide fame as the illustrator of the famous Ian Fleming James Bond dustwrappers. Striking colourful wraparound artwork. Dustwrapper retains publishers printed price on front inside flap. The very lightest signs of handling and miniscule wear to the edges makes this a super example of the eyecatching dustwrapper. Now protected in a removable archival booksleeve for preservation. A scarce example of an accomplished Richard Chopping novel. (Book ref. 001121 )  £ 45.00
