The Rare Book Shelf

Fleming, Ian Dr. No , London, United Kingdom: Jonathan Cape, 1958.

First Edition. Near Fine/Very Good. FIRST EDITION Bound in the publishers black boards with silver title lettering to spine. This is the first edition variant with no dancing lady silhouette to front board. A first impression. All pages are present and correct. A small previous owners name in printed red ink to the ffep otherwise a superb copy. Book sits solid and square with all corners sharp. Housed in the famous Pat Marriott designed dustwrapper which has been neatly priceclipped. This appears to be a later dustwrapper as the title lettering to spine is white. Small chips to the head of spine and top corners otherwise an extremely presentable example of the iconic dustwrapper. Protected in a removable archival booksleeve to preserve its condition. A very nice copy indeed. (Book ref. 001122 )  £ 550.00
