A presentation copy to Betsy Blair, the widow of film director Karel Reisz who famously filmed Alan Sillitoe's best known novel 'Saturday Night, Sunday Morning' The inscription on the front free endpaper reads "For Betsy, much love, As ever, Alan. 31st Oct. 2007" This copy is further signed to the title page 'Alan Sillitoe' Forty years of travelling behind the iron curtain taken from Alan Sillitoe's meticulously kept diaries.
