Sewn in later marbled paper wrappers, handsome modern armorial bookplate on inside of wrappers. 8vo [binding c. 19.5 x 12 cms], pp16 uncut, occasionally roughly opened and cut close at the top just clipping a couple of page numbers, lower corner of A2 lacking small piece just affecting final word in three lines on p3, else a very good copy of a fragile piece.. Foxon D214 : the first of three editions listed by Foxon. One of the earliest and most famous topographical poems, set around the Thames at Egham and first published in 1642, by the royalist poet Sir John Denham. (Book ref. 9524 )  £ 55.00
