Cloth. Very Good. Prophetic Novel published just before World War II. The Author, himself an airman knew what the coming war would be like and how it would fall on such a town as Southampton. He also foresaw the Heroism and Humanity with which the British people would react. Very moving book. 7 1/2". Blue cloth cover with bright silver lettering to spine on a brown ground. Wrapper design by Francis Phillipps. Blind stamped NS Monogram on front. No inscriptions, jacket not clipped. Only very slight edge wear. Small, light crease to jacket whee hinge opens. Nice fresh copy. (Book ref. 006145 )  £ 40.00
