Very Good/Near Good. 8vo - over 7 - 9" Tall Book Very interesting account of the author's life in Cyprus, first as a care-free writer and later as a Government Official in the middle of a Revolution. Red cloth cover with Gilt illustration of a town on front. Gilt lettering on Yellow ground to spine. Top Page Edges Yellow. 255 Pages including Bibliography & Index. 8 3/4" Tall, 510g. Tiny name & date lightly penciled in top corner of ffep. No other inscriptions. A few very faint spots of browning on endpaper and a single very small spot on half-title page. Jacket has a small piece missing at top left corner and top of spine ( just removing most of the "ER" of "Bitter" on the spine. Small closed tear at top left (1" long, reapired from inside with clear tape) and 2 tiny bits missing (see photo). Not clipped. (Book ref. 012427)  £35.00
