Frontis illustrated with "A Fox-Hunting Dinner" Title Page illustrated with Ducks. Plates illustrated with; Lambert's Leap, Rhinocerous Hunting, Hippopotamus, Lioness, Billiards, Sportsman of the 16th Century, Antelope Hunting, Procession from a Tiger Hunt, Heron, Buffalo Hunting, Kainsi Rock-Leaping Antelope. Text arranged in Double Columns. Many interesting Articles including; The Buffalo & Sagacity of a savage Dog. Contemporary Brown Half-Leather Binding with Marbled Paper-covered boards and Leather Corners. Gilt Title, Vol. No. Lines and Decoratif Motifs to spine. All page edges Marbled. 368 Pages including Index + 16 Page Racing Calendar. 8 3/4" Tall, 520g. Some edge wear. Some leather missing from spine near the bottom and surface scrapes. Some rubbing to boards (see photos). Attractive antique Bookplate with Armorial Bearing (Lions & tree) on Endpaper. No name. ront hinge cracked. Faint foxing, mainly marginal to some Plates. Light brown stain on endpapers, frontis & title page (about 1/3 width of page) Occasional spots of foxing on a few pages. No inscriptions. Most pages in nice, clean condition, some slightly age darkened. (other Volumes of The Sporting Magazine available I'm happy to give a discount on 2 or more.)
