Other Plates illustrated with; "Rotten Row", "Leopards devouring a horse", "Lioness attacking a camel", "Hunting the Porcupine", "The old gamekeeper", 2 Hunting scenes "Drawing Cover" "The Chace", 2 Plates illustrated with Dogs, "Spaniels" "Jasper" . Text arranged in Double Columns. Many interesting Articles including; "Sporting with Ghosts and Sharks in the Red Sea", "Detection of False Dice" & "The Fox". Contemporary Brown Half-Leather Binding with Marbled Paper-covered boards and Leather Corners. Gilt Title, Vol. No. Lines and Decoratif Motifs to spine. 360 Pages including Index + 24 Page Racing Calendar. 8 3/4" Tall, 550g. Some edge wear. small pieces of leather missing from spine ends and some surface scrapes. Some rubbing to boards (see photos). Attractive antique Bookplate with Armorial Bearing (Lions & tree) on Endpaper. No name. Very light brown stain on upper margin of frontis, title page andsome Plates. Faint foxing, mainly marginal to Plates. Only occasional spots of foxing on a few text pages. No inscriptions. Most pages in nice, clean condition.
