8vo, 172 x 110 mms., pp. [ii], ix [x blank], [4]; 5 - 227 numbered leaves, with woodcut colophon leaf at end, and the same woodcut device on the title-page, 18th century vellum, marbled end-paper, gilt spine, morocco label. A fine copy. In fact, this is a facsimile ("counterfeit" seems too strong a word here) edition printed in Lucca in the 1740s. The original was published in 1558 and was a source for The Merchant of Venice. (Book ref. 7053 )  £ 650.00
