The 1825 edition of the first work in English dealing exclusively with the Greyhound. Bound in quarter-calf with marbled boards. Binding has been restored, with new label added. The internals are clean, tight and crisp. Engraved frontispiece depicting coursing Greyhounds 'Czarina and Maria' after Gilpin. According to Clifford Hubbard in the Steadfast Library book of Coursing (circa. 1977), authorship is attrbuted to either Sir Robert Claxton or William Dansey.
