First edition, first issue, additional hand-coloured title with vignettes, portrait and 34 plates by Henry Alken, 10pp. advertisements at end, plates with some foxing and soiling, mostly to margins, later half red crushed morocco, by Sotheran & Co., spine in compartments with gilt hunting motifs, t.e.g., very slightly rubbed. The first issue had 4 of the plates mounted; this copy has 3 of those 4 plates mounted but not that at p.14. Schwerdt Vol 1, p.36.
