Anon: QUIET-WAY MOTORING MAPS , London: Price's Motorine Oil, 1940s?

The whole presented in a double-sided wallet being of dark green cloth covered boards with (dull) gilt titling and decoration to front cover. Inside, on the left-side behind a green see-through cover, are twelve numbered maps of the England and southern Scotland (up as far as Alloa and Anstruther) which are in superb condition. On the right-hand side, behind a transparent cover, are eleven route cards with a total of 25 "Quiet-Way" routes described and which are highlighted on the maps provided. These are also in excellent condition - in fact, I would doubt that they have ever been used. 11.5" x 8.5". Apart from tiny corner bumps there are no other major faults to note - excellent overall condition and surely a fantastic, authentic accessory for the vintage car owner. (Book ref. 331 )  £ 35.00
