A fine example of an illuminated book devised by Cundall. We have also handled the Sampson Low 1861 edition, colour printed by Dickes (as here), but this would seem to be the first version with a full 16pp. letterpress text (printed by Clays) added to the Dickes plates, presumably as a marketing exercise to repackage the unsold colour plates.
