Harvard University Press, Cambridge MA, [1961] 8vo., Second Edition, Fourth Impression, with a frontispieces, 5 plates and 155 illustrations in the text; yellow ochre cloth, backstrip lettered in red, red top, a very good, bright, clean copy in unclipped dustwrapper, the latter mildly browned and age-marked at backstrip. Chiang Yee's classic study was first published in 1938. The second and best edition, revised and with a new preface, was issued in 1954. VERY SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION. (Book ref. 22105)

City of Birmingham School of Printing, College of Arts and Crafts, 1943 Roy. 8vo., First Edition, with title in red and black; original printed wrappers, sewed as issued, covers mildly browned at extremities else a very good, clean copy. First printing of one of the notable collection of Boulton manuscripts in the Assay Office at Birmingham. This important encomium was composed by Watt in the month following the death of Matthew Boulton, probably at the request of his son Matthew Robinson Boulton. Very scarce. (Book ref. 14327)

This catalogue, modelled on those of the Bodleian Library, presents all the essential information on the miniatures, marginalia and other decorations in 132 MSS from the northern Netherlands, and 49 others from Belgium, France, Germany, Greece and Italy.
