In addition to the main volumes, this run includes the bound Index to volumes 1-35, wrappered indexes to volumes 36-55, 56-65 and 66-70, and individual volume indexes to volumes 58, 70, 72 and 74. Also present are the Mariner's Mirror Bibliographies for the years 1983-1988 inclusive. It is most unusual to find a run of this magnitude without ex-library or ex-institutional markings. The author's first book. Newby resigns his post in an advertising agency and signs as apprentice on the four-master Moshulu. A modern maritime classic. Very scarce, especially in this condition. Lovely copy of the eighteenth Aubrey/Maturin novel read in unabridged form. Soundings Audio Books are among the finest audio books available. The author's original text is unabridged, the readers (usually professional actors or broadcasters) are selected for the quality of their characterisations, the recordings are produced to high standards in Dolby stereo and the discs are housed in robust 'diamond' packs.
