compiled from the Best Printed Authorities and Original Records preserved in Public Repositories and Private Collections, Embellished with Views of the Most Curious Monuments of Antiquity and Illustrated with a Map of the County, First Edition, LARGE PAPER, 3 vols, viii, binder's leaf, xxxvii, 526, 106; 554, 736, 19, 52pp large folio, (17.5 x 11 inches), with 46 fine engraved plates and 8 engraved maps and plans (one double page), of which 3 plates exquisitely hand coloured, numerous pedigrees in the text, very attractive contemporary half morocco with elaborately gilt decorated spines, marbled boards (with new matching marbled paper), professionally rehinged - laying back the original spines, recornered to match, an excellent attractive copy, small contemporary circular provenance stamp of Nunstanton Hall on titles, later library bookplates, a very attractive LARGE PAPER copy with very wide margins, London, Nichols, 1815-27. This copy has pp.471-2 in vol. I which according to Upcott (p.623*) were cancelled; page 36 of the appendix to this volume is misprinted 32 as called for. The subscriber's list shows that just 56 large paper copies were published, most of them going to the most distinguished country house libraries in Britain. Photograph available on request.
