Contains three illustration plates as called for, including a tissue guard to the frontispiece plate. Gilt embossed lettering to the front board and spine. There is fading to the spine strip with some rubbing to the head and tail of the spine and three board corners are lightly turned in. Some foxing to the fore edges. There is a short tear of 0.5 cm to the tail of the front end paper and the slightest of niks to the head of the front end paper. The textblock is clean and tight. A very good copy.
