Very Good/No Dustjacket. 4to A tight 11 1/4" by 8 3/4 " book bound in heavy bevelled light corn coloured heavy cloth or buckram covers with gilt titles along the spine and on the front cover. Clean light green and pink on cream marbled endpapers. Three pages of advertisements are followed by a sepia frontispiece, then the tiltle page. The body of the book is also very clean. The text is very heavily illustrated. The very clean original card covers are bound in at the back of the book with a red, turquiose grey and black and white pictorial front cover with a full page similarly designed and coloured advertisement on the verso. The back cover has red and black full pages advertisements, the inner one has a tipped in b/w picture. The covers have some dusty soiling and water spots. The spine ends are good. The bottom cover corners have a small puff of fibres. There is a name and date handwritten on the front endpaper. (Book ref. 018294) £31.00

Good/No Dustjacket. 12mo There is no publishing date on this blue cloth 12mo hardback of 440pages + 4 pages of publisher's listings. The spine has dulled gilt titles andblack embossed decoration. The front cover has gilt and black titles, black embossed decoration and a giltwindow shape with blue and black decoration. The back cover has the SPCK monogram and black line borders. There is a folding map " to illustrate the Annals of York " opposite the title page. The book is tight although the hinge covers are split showing the binding cloth. The spine ends have wear spots and there is a split along the spine edge. Three out of four cover corners are just worn through. The text is clean with just a sprinkling of tiny fox spots on the back of the map. (Book ref. 013279) £10.00

Spine of division 4 sunned, some wear to the corners of the boards, bookplates to front pastedowns, a few hinges cracking under the strain (the books are heavy), plates foxed, several tissue protectors creased.
