This scarce edition is, we believe, the first issue with the title 'Dictionary'. Very Good/Very Good Minus. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall 287pp. A first edition copy - scarce in wrapper. No date though there is a neat ink name inscription to the front end paper dated 25.XII.25 - clearly a christmas present. Gilt embossed lettering to the spine. Light bumps to the head and tail of the spine. Textblock is very clean and tight. Dust wrapper is not price clipped and has a well preserved colour onlay to the front panel of the wrapper. Light toning to the spine of the wrapper. There is a short tear of 0.5 cm to the tail of the spine of the wrapper, now expertly reparied and with some associated creasing. Some rubbing to the head of the spine of the wrapper with slight loss. Light creasing to the head of the wrapper with short tears of no more than 0.5 cm to the wrapper over the board corners. The wrapper is clean and tight. A very good copy in a very good minus wrapper. (Book ref. 227362) £20.00

With 4pp publisher's catalogue bound in at end, and the binder's ticket of W. Bone on rear paste-down. The colour plates are printed by Edmund Evans.
